The Heating/ Plumbing/ Hot water
The Underfloor Heating.
This is set to come on at 18 degrees for all living areas, except the bathrooms (21 degrees). There are controls in each individual room which can be adjusted by the up and down (or the +/-) arrows. For your comfort and safety, these are limited to 25 degrees. If you visit in the summer, it is likely that these will all be turned off – unless we have one of our colder spells.

Towel Radiators.
These all have individual switches – either in the bathroom, or on the bedroom wall directly behind the radiator. These are not thermostatically controlled, so need to be turned on and off as you require them. They work on a timed boost so the bathrooms will get uncomfortably hot!

Hot water.
Immersion heaters come on for several hours each morning and evening – it seems to provide plenty of water. If you do need to top it up, there is a “Boost” button on the timers in the hot water cylinder cupboard. This will turn it on for an extra hour. Try not to press any other buttons, unless you are comfortable reprogramming the timers – we don’t want you to have a week of cold showers!
