The Kitchen

Dishwasher – use the eco cycle, unless you really feel it needs more! Other cycles just take so, so long. Tabs, rinse aid and salt are all under the sink.

Washing Machine – again, it seems to have many different cycles, but a basic wash and spin should suffice. See the manual for more information. There is a retractable washing line in the garden, and a prop in the hot water cylinder cupboard. The washing line needs to be wrapped around the lug to hold it in place. Ironing board and iron also in cupboard.

Induction hob – easy to use, and quick. All pots etc should be suitable for use on the hob. Turn on with left hand button and then choose appropriate individual hob, with desired heat setting. Beware the “LO” fault – not actually a fault but someone has inadvertently locked the hob. Just hold down the padlock symbol for 5 seconds to unlock it.

Oven – basic, but easy to use.

Microwave – fairly standard.

Fridge/freezer and wine cooler – as normal!

Flies can be a short-term occasional issue – we have included spray, and attractive flypaper if you need it (under the sink). There should also be some spare light bulbs – nothing to do with flies, but also under the sink!

If you need to empty any bins, you should find  wheelie bins near the large barn – any recyclable should go loose into the green bin, anything else bagged into the black bin please.
